FAQ About Writing
What inspires you to write?
Life! Everything! I know thats such a non-answer, but it’s so true.
How many novels have you written?
I constantly am working on new WIPs and editing old projects so I really can’t say. There are novels I’ve written from start to finish, but then I also have countless projects that I’ve dropped, some of which I hope to pick up again some day.
What does your writing process look like?
Crazy. I’m hoping to write a blog post on my writing process in the near future because it’s kind of a long answer to just fit in the FAQ. So stay tuned, I’ll have that answer coming your way soon!
How do you work writing into your schedule?
It’s hard. No matter how old you are it’s never easy, especially if you go to school and get homework and try to maintain a social life. (that would be me) I certainly go through phases where I have lots of time to write and then times when I hardly write at all. My tip for finding time to write is to set aside some time to write for certain days and also to just write when you can. 🙂
What are you currently working on? Do you have plans to be published in the near future?
I’m working on a couple of novels right now, neither of which I should say much about. As for being published in the future, I don’t have any plans at the moment. However, I am sort of in the process of cleaning up one of my novels specifically, in hopes that I can maybe query it in the near future.
What’s your favorite genre to write?
Anything in the Young Adult Literature realm.
Have you ever done NaNoWriMo?
I attempted it in 2011, but November is a busy month for me, so sadly I wasn’t able to complete the challenge. I might try Camp NaNo one of these months when I have some free time. But NaNo is seriously an amazing program. If you’re looking to write a novel and maybe need some motivation, I highly, highly recommend the program.
Do you listen to music while you write?
Of course! Music and writing go hand in hand for me! I’m hoping to make a writing playlist for you guys one of these days…
